Our Residents and Day Clients
Our residents and day clients are called “Farmers” not only because they help on the farm, but because they display the best qualities of the pioneers who first settled here. The title of “Farmer” is valued as it encompasses a sense of community and teamwork at Country Breeze Farm.
Our Farmers come from across the U.S. Country Breeze Farm serves adults with a wide variety and degree of cognitive and developmental disabilities, including but not limited to the Autism spectrum, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Fragile X and Developmental Delay from various causes.
Farmers range in age; accepted from 18 years of age and above. However, chronological age is not as important as developmental age and empowering each individual to explore their abilities, discover a purpose, and live a good quality life. At Country Breeze Farm, Farmers learn life and vocational skills that can be applied to everything they do, from individual pursuits and group activities to interacting with others to the best of their ability or doing work they enjoy. Family members often say they had no idea that their loved one had so many hidden talents and abilities until they became part of this community.
The glory of Country Breeze Farm is not only an inspiring story of how people with developmental disabilities find a community to thrive in, it’s witnessing Farmer's triumph over challenges and realize their full potential. We nurture the unique abilities of our residents and day clients. New Farmers are welcomed by all with great enthusiasm.
